Angie is a freelance musician, composer, and teacher in the Cincinnati and Northern KY area. She currently has one album out under her name entitled "Far From Home," that is made up entirely of her original compositions.
She graduated from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in 2018 with her Master's degree in Jazz Studies. Prior to that, she received her Bachelor's degree in Saxophone Performance from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, where she studied classical and jazz saxophone, as well as classical flute and clarinet. Angie is a versatile musician and currently performs with many types of musical groups, such as her jazz quartet, her Brazilian music group Cidade Rainha, and the afro-beat band Ernie Johnson From Detroit, to name a few. She has previously played with many other types of groups including jazz orchestras/big bands, pit orchestras, blues bands, R&B bands, indie-rock groups, cover bands, and others. |
Besides being a performer, Angie is an in-demand private instructor as well. She is the woodwind instructor for the Cincinnati Public Schools Jazz Academy program and additionally teaches out of her home studio in Covington, KY.
